The Scarlet Letter is a 1995 American romantic drama film. It is a film adaptation of the Nathaniel Hawthorne novel of the same name. It was directed by Roland Joffé and stars Demi Moore, Gary Oldman, and Robert Duvall. This version was "freely adapted" from Hawthorne^[a] and deviated from the original story. A critical and box office failure, it was nominated for seven Golden Raspberry Awards at the 1995 ceremony, winning "Worst Remake or Sequel."

First of all the movie scarlet letter narrated by Pearl. The scene of take dinner with some relatives we find the culture rules by there talks. That woman can't live alone in the city or village, the problem of woman's are raise by society rules. And in modern times we think about freedom by all the rules and regulations,  but the problem of woman's can't solve in modern time also. The background recites idea of rural place or say village type, we know about village rules and their problem that we can't find in city. Like rational thinking rather than ancient rules that given by some dead people, but their rules are still follow by new generation, that's the main problem we find in village's.

She meets Arthur in middle of the path,  than next meet was in the church, the way of she looks at Arthur like a new hope that she live life for someone present over there. But Arthur ignore hester the only for one reason was she married. But after many meetings they both are love each other. And one day comes that we find in Bollywood in every love story movie, the day of proposal by one side and it's replied with too. It's like this is Bollywood touch. Someone love too much that's not a crime but the society can't can't see that love they find it's wrong things that she do with Arthur. That point we can highlight as a modernist novel.

Now the another story we find that rural people are killing white people for revenge of king murders. That's the new story we see as their perspective also. 

The red Bird is symbol of love that we find in two times in the movie first time, hester find arthur in river second time in physical relationship. And now we come to main point, that one day came warrant come to both of, for some reason. And that was relationship with Arthur. That was Adulteryness.

And when Roger comes returned in heaters life, it's bad time comes from all the relatives like slave Mituba was one of torcherd by Roger. So the character of Roger it's like husband it's like enemy of his own wife why?  Because Adulteryness.

And other side the love of both side was not given,  only the side of  mother love she was not fulfill, because the side of father was important also.

And in the last most inspirational speech by hero, that we find in some Bollywood movies. That was good concept. At the end it was happy ending.
