 1) Talk on importance of story/literature.

In this talk Novelist Chimamanda Adichie tells the story of how she found her authentic cultural voice-and warns that if we hear only a single story about another person or country, we risk a critical misunderstanding.

One view is that in her novel her characters are white, so in post colonial studies I learn Black skin white mask in that novel fanon said that black people have desire of white skin. So this point of characters can connect with the real life aspects. So I like this point for characters because it is about reality of life. Another thing is that their character drink bear because she read from British books.
American represent as power Structure, and powerful country in the world. And most of books are written in serial killer Genre. And this books are referred by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. So she think by power structure that American culture present in books.

There is one story about job application, such as the fact that 5000 people apply for one job vacancy in Nigeria. Even We can connect with Today’s India that now we have joblessness in India. So this way author can connect the things with real life country culture.

2) We Should All Be Feminist.

  • In feminist perspective she talks about Africa as feminist. And with this aspect she call herself a happy African feminist. And she read books about feminist and she struggle in finish that books. She tell her story of class monitor, and write names of noise maker. And the problem she have that class monitor was male not female, this is the question, that she talk about. And monitor chosen by highest mark.

  • Second thing is that women can’t go alone in club and other places, and women must have with partner(male). So she observe that men are important that clearly find while waiter talk with men, not woman. And she think that I’m human like men.

3) Talk on importance of truth in post-Truth Era:

  • She wrote first novel, and she thought was a novel eventually needed to be put away in a drawer and never published. It is just a sake of needs of people, that what they want and what they read, is important for publisher, who publish an book. And it’s hard to convince ourselves that the truth about our failure. And to tell ourselves that maybe we haven’t done the best that we can. So this is what we see in Post-Truth Era.

  • She also talk about Literature, that what is Literature after put the world in center. And what Literature do, and How you can think a new way.
