Introduction:-
Hamlet is
the first tragedy in Shakespeare’s series of great tragedies which is believed
to be published in between 1601 and 1603. This play is one of the successful,
perfect and best play ever. Hamlet centres on the problems rise from love,
death and positive resolution to these complications for Hamlet is ambiguous
and the answers to these problems are complex.
In the Shakespearean tragedies, the character are presented with abnormal state of mind. But Shakespeare doesn’t allow this abnormal state to be dominant action. It provokes the suffering to the protagonist. The supernatural elements in the dramas of Shakespeare are subservient to the main action. It provokes the protagonist to do certain actions. Shakespeare links the supernatural elements with the natural. Hamartia leads the downfall of the characters in Shakespearean plays. Hamartia is a kind of force that is already inherited in characters which works as a spiritual force. And it ultimately leads to destruction. The use of this force makes the Shakespearean tragedy different from the Greek tragedies.

play within a play used to trap a murderer and a ghost intent on vengeance,
appear in Shakespeare’s play Hamlet. A long time issue among scholars has been
the moral status of revenge. Because revenge is the most obvious theme of the
play, a lot of debate has mad over it. In Spanish tragedy by Thomas Kyd, son Horatio
death by someone and his father Hieronimo takes revenge for his son death.
Hamlet also a play concerned with son’s revenge for the murder of his father.
It is a story concerned with the murder, in any revenge story we see the blood
shade the desire to retaliate for an injury, is a powerful villain, natural
elements, and dangerous human emotion in any revenge story. So, Hamlet has
sudden violence and the slower but more deadly reaction to that violence.
A series of events can clearly be seen to start with some original and end with that crime has been avenged. We can watch Kabil bollywood movie is the best example of this series. In the movie start with all are happy but after that crime committed and revenge in mind is going on slowly slowly one by one kill by him because of revenge motive, that motive have so many bloodshed in the movie and injury emotion many things are there in protagonist villain has more powerful in last that crime has been avenged by kill the antagonist.
The Greek tragedians used it many times and it reached the Elizabethans as part of the classical heritage through the literature of Rome. Aided by their own historical vision, and challenged by the particular requirements of their own theatre, they made the form their own to such an extent that the term of ‘revenge tragedy’ can usually be understood as referring to tragedies written between 1580 and 1642.

· Chief features like deals with some
crime, murder awful and most unnatural.
This type of
concept related with revenge. many time we see the similar type movie, play,
like we know than what happen next. Murder and crime are happen in unnaturally

many death to reach the antagonist but the preccess is in this track many
mystery comes and you do mistake what you not think in life and than you change

I am
describe this with one example like this concept come with some TV serial or in
the movie. Now in TV serial i watched CID like take any episode in Cid it’s
done with same concept and we know that if you watch than you know that concept
like revenge come with in any situation and blaming done with some video about
murder and after that revenge come and death happens in this concept.
· It is the ghost of the dead who
reveals the crime committed
In the
Hamlet this done by king Hamlet is a ghost and his son see the ghost talk with them
and take revenge of his father. Another example in bollywood movie like
‘chamatkar’ done by shah rukh khan in this movie the character alias Marco who was killed and thrown into the grave 20
years before he talk with only sunder(ghost helper) and explain all the things
done by kunta(antagonist) so Sundar says I will help in your revenge.
· Secret duty to take revenge is
accepted and revenge is taken with disastrous consequences
I think that
any revenge done with bloodshed and
disastrous consequences come. We know properly because we see movies in
movies this concept have come.
· There is much bloodshed and physical
horror
· There is much that is thrilling and
sensational use of fighting, of violence, madness, adultery, even incest.
This point i
think one movie come is ‘Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter’ in the movie first
come madness and go for bloodshed and physical horror, come thriller, fighting,

The movie
Hamlet it’s based on revenge. The real tension of the play is begins with the
ghost of the king Hamlet tells about his murder. Hamlet think that his father’s
death was not mistake, it was hamlet’s uncle’s plan to murder king hamlet. The
ghost also tells hamlet that he has been given the role who will take revenge
upon Claudius. So hamlet preceeds on to take revenge in spite of everything.
Hamlet now think of how to take revenge on Claudius, he doesn’t know what to do about it. He thinks his thoughts for a long period of time, expecting to do immediately, but instead he drags it on until the end of the play. And his delay of killing Claudius takes on three distinct stages. Firstly he had to prove that the ghost was actually the truth, secondly his not killing of Claudius while praying and finally his accidental killing of Polonius. Now Hamlet decides to act abnormal. Letter in the play a troop of actors come to act a play, and hamlet has them re-enact the murder of is father in front of his uncle Claudius. During the play hamlet watches his uncle’s reaction when the actors perform the murder scene, his uncle runs out the room, after that hamlet finds his uncle as praying, and he pulls out his sword and gets ready to kill his uncle, than hamlet think that he is praying and i kill than he goes heaven but hamlet wants him to go to hell.
Third delay was the fact that he got side tracked. He accidentally killed Polonius which created a whole new problem. In last fight after all death hamlet then in a fit of rage runs his uncle through with the poison sword. Hamlet has now finally revenged his father.
Hamlet-A revenge play with a difference:-
Hamlet
cannot be labelled as mere revenge play. Because of if we think different
perspective and new idea than our idea be changed in every thinking, we see
only revenge play so we find only revenge motive, if we think love story
between Hamlet and so we find that side only, main point is our thinking is
very important in different way.
The element
of revenge play are refined and lifted above the realm of cheap melodrama. like
after Polonius death by hamlet accidentally it’s very bloodshed and more melodramatic
elements. Another is hamlet talk about his father has ghost and now is front of
we and Gertrude watch this elements she not able to see ghost se she thinks
that hamlet is made after his father’s death.
Ghost is the symbol like revenge not taken and second is statue is also symbol of ghost and revenge, so it is not merely object of horror it object only revenge, and yes also the representation of hidden, mysterious about who kill king hamlet prince hamlet thing this, it is an instrument of justice to punish the evil doer. It is require all the elements in revenge play.
Hamlet’s suffering in his melancholy, in his hesitation, reason is after his father’s death his mother married his uncle and who was the murderer of king hamlet? This question describe melancholy, and hesitation, in his inaction at a crucial moment in his life after father’s death. In each one of the aspects of his many sided personality, after death of his father he see the ghost and start create new aspects because his motive is only revenge so he is changed. He typifies some one or the other phase of human nature. In his human nature with other is unique hamlet also in unique phase and he think the Claudius phase in his mind.
Conclusion:-
After we see the revenge
play we can said that it is not only tragedy, but it is a tragedy of human
soul.
